DESIGN FOR MUSICKING

Musicking is the present participle of music, encompassing interactions with and engagement through music. It involves various activities, processes, products and people involved in music-making, -listening, -recording, -performing, and -producing, as described by Elliott (1995) and Small (1998). The concept of musicking suits the multipronged approach needed by graphic design in this arena, which includes product packaging, musician branding, promotional design, video, visualizers, websites and more.
